NTSE is Conducted in Two Phases In Order to Qualify for Scholarship. 

NTSE Stage-I exam is conducted independently by States/UTs, While NCERT conducts a common exam for Stage-1 Qualified Students in Order further purify students for scholarship under NTSE Stage-II. It's important for NTSE aspirants to go through the past years papers of NTSE Stage-I (conducted by their respective State/UT) and NTSE Stage-II (conducted by NCERT).
